I did that one from scratch. Babs did the art, I have no patience, nor the ability to do the art work sadly. But I have tried though.  Yes, it hasn't been updated since christmas since I was basically was coding about 96% of the site and constance backing changes for the seasons. After a years work of constant coding, my fingers finally gave in.

In all, if you need help about webpages, I can offer some services. (Yes my grammer and spelling does reaeK!) Like I said, I am not a professional at HTML'ing, but I do know some things about it.

Thanks for explaining it more in detail for me.  It turns out I didn't even have to download or change any settings for it to work. It played without any problems except for the speed issues. Sometimes I start it and it's like really fast and choppy, and others, it's more like normal speed.

I have to say a great job on the english patch on Ys 1 and 2. It's lovely, and the alternate soundtrack only makes it even better. I feel like I'm 12 years old agaon. All it needs is the voice overs from the TG and it would be perfect.

I am defenately donating for the OoF patch when I get a chance. 

I do have one question though, with the english patch, is it suppost to skip the Ys 1 credits (See You Again!)? I played through Ys 1 & 2 with the patch 1.27. When I beat Ys 1, it did it's thing, pretty picture with Darm Tower. After it said, Adol now begins his new journey it goes straight to when Dalles and Dahm talks, but no Ys 1 credits. Ys 2 has it credits (Stay with Me Forever) though.

I ordered from Hemeya. (Wasn't ready to try the Falcom thing.) I was quite surprised that I got Ys 1 & 2 Complete within 6 days. I ordered Ys OoF Special Edition last week, and they just shipped it yesterday, so I should get it like Tues or Wed..

Has anyone made a patch for Ys 6, I'm thinking about getting that one, then Origins?

General / Playing a Japanese Game?

I have a question. I have had japanese games on consoles before but never on a pc. Is there anything special on how to play a pc import. I have no knowledge on anything about language settings nore the unicode thing. If I change the unicode settings, will my pc be in japanese. I'm affraid if I change to a japanese setting, that I may not beable to find my english setting?

I'm picking up Ys 1 & 2 Complete at the Post Office tomorrow and I have Ys OoF ordered. I tried Typing of Ys, but it crashed on me on stage 2. I'm not sure if the unicode or so had something to do with it.

I think I'm about ready to get a copy of oath. I got a new pc and it can play Oblivion, so I'm sure it will be able to play Oath, unlike my old computer.

I wasn't asking them for another way. All I was asking what all methods do they use since I don't get mail at the house so I know which address to give.

When your package hits American shores, it's usually handed over to Purolator.  Not always, but usually.  If I remember correctly, one of my orders came via Purolator, and the other came by Canada Post.

That all needed for me to ask them. There is no crime in asking questions. I don't want to take any chances of me giving them the P.O. Box address, then when it comes to american shores, it goes to Fed Ex or something like that. I will be screwed then.

I will be using a Western Union Card, I put money in it like a credit card. Now, when I give the address to send it too, does it have to match the address of the card? I can have it sent to a friends house, incase it's not shipped by mail for any reason.

Yes, I have a question, and I was wondering can you help me! I'm sorry if my e-mail may sound abit confusing, I'm using a translater to translate this. It's the only way that I know of speaking to you. What process and information that I need to order from falcom? I can't read the site, and I'm told it can be done through e-mail. And, what shipping methods do you use, I live in the USA, and shipping adresses differ depending on how it's shipped. Through the postal services, we do not get mail delivered to the house, only to the P.O. Box. If other services like UPS or Fed Ex, it could be delivered the house address. So, I was wondering, which method to expect so I can give the shipping address.

I'm planning on trying to purchase some Ys from Falcom probably within a few months. Hopefully next month!  What shipping method do they use?

If it's by postal, then I will have to give them my P.O. Box address. No mail, no matter what will be delivered to the house. If they use Fed Ex, Ups, ect., then I could put home address in then.

If I still had a choice in Ys 1 and 2, Ys 3: Wanderers From Ys, I would still pick the Turbo Grafx CR-Rom versions as the best of the originals. I hope the Wii will have them for download sometime in it's lifespan since it will have turbo graphix downloads.

I'm not worried if the ps2 remakes were crappy. Just knowing on having a classic once again.  And since the release with Oath, they may not make this kind of Ys 3 ever again.

I didn't see this tread at the bottom. Dang medications!  I think it will be good, I have seen screenshots of Oath and heard its music and it is awesome. And, I was hoping that they would do the same to upgrade Ys 1 and 2 with glorious music. 

Just only if american game companies wasn't so darn....

I am happy!  I finally got an Ys from Japan. I got Ys 3: Woanderers Frm Ys. I tried to get Ys 1 and 2: Eternal Story but they quit making it.  Thats the story of my video game life though. I usually don't find something out til it's to late.

At one point, NEC Interchannel proposed bringing Digicube's Ys ETERNAL STORY to North America, but the idea was rejected by Sony, commonly thought to be because of their prevailing attitude toward the viability of 2D games in the North American market; but as more small profile 2D games have been released in the PS2's lifespan the decision was more likely due to numerous technical issues with the port itself including: long load-times (even for a PS2 game), frequent lock-ups, resolution flickering during menu or screen transitions and an abnormally large save file, clocking in at 1MB (1/8th of a memory card) whereas most, and much more complex RPGs average 100-200KB is size. Many of these problems are associated with the game being quickly ported and released as Digicube was partially going out of business.

General / Question about Ys PC

I have a question about the PC version of Ys and don't see a question section. So, I'll put it here if thats ok...

I have only played Ys Book 1 & 2 on the turbo and Ys 3 on the SNES and really loved them. And I just found out a few days ago that Japan had been rereleasing them on the PC and the PSX2. It's really bothering me that they won't bring it out to the states and Japan gets the luxury of the Y's series all over again and again. 

I was wondering is the PC version still available and where can a person get imported PC games. I know about imported console games but I have never seen a place to buy imported PC games. Please Help!
