So when I got the game I started on Hard Mode as Yunika.  I figured I wanted the game to be challenging from the start.  Boy did I get what I asked for!  One thing about YsF is that on hard mode your rarely died from normal run of the mill foes, the same cant be said for YsO.  I cant count how many times I have bit the dust from a group of "regulars".  Sure I suppose I could just warp away, but whats the fun/challenge in that?  Maybe I just suck but has anyone else noticed that Hard acually means Hard in this game?

Just wondering if anyone here is from Canada and if so, did you get your copy yet?   I have a sneaky suspicion that mine's in the country already but since Canada Post and customs are demented, I don't have it yet.  'Course I don't have a tracking number to check the status of it. >_>

Email Falcom and ask them for the tracking number.  Be sure to inclued your reciept number.

I gotta say I think this game is friggen awsome!  Blows Felghana out of the water as far as Gameplay.  Well not so much blows out of the water as improves upon.  The only real gripe I have so far is Yunikas wind magic isnt near as effective for flying as Adols was.  Its alittle stiff but other then that she plays great.  Havent tryed Hugo yet.  Anyways, this is a great editon to the Ys series and im anticipating greatly then next Ys game!  Ys VII:  The Five Dragons of Altago anyone??

It seems that some people are upset because this game is a Dungeon Crawler and you spend less time outside.

I think it was pretty obvious from the get go that this was going to be a Darm tower dungeon crawl.  I should be getting my copy today.  Im going to try and not make any judgements till then, but I must say the Gameplay looks great.  People should just enjoy it for what it is.

Wohoo, my copy got here December 25th; lucky Christmas present for me!  And it came with a 2007 Falcom mini-calender, with some nice artwork from a lot of Falcom's games (mostly Ys).  I always like it when companies put in extras like that.

But I'm wondering, is there supposed to be two disks?  Mine only came with one (the play disk), but the case is one of those larger ones with slots for two disks.  Or was that just to make the box bigger?

Xanadu next and Ys AON Small box both have the extra slot so no worrys.

Im no good in translation stuff so i cant really be of any help

(oh and by the way your work with YS 1&2 complete was absolutely great guys, you truly deserve more then praises for this)

Just a question like that ..do any of you played Legend of heroes-Sora no Kiseki- SC .. thats weird i cant play the opening movie...  i really dont know why...all i see is the Falcom logo and it stop at the game screen.. i can play but ...i would really have liked to check that opening movie with sound ..anyway it might not be the place to ask that so sorry to anyone i might upset (really)

And to all of you who are working hard on translating YS games, Mostly impressive ! i really look for the next update of Ys: The Oath In Felghana

That all being said, I'm not sure if I can make it by Christmas. There's very little work left, but that is not the issue. I haven't had a free moment with no distractions where I can just sit down and put the work into the remaining images and to start writing up the ReadMe. No patch of mine will go public until I can finish the ReadMe, which can take me quite a bit of time. Also, I don't need anything from anyone right now. MP83 delivered the translated images as he mentioned, the last bit of work I needed help with, so the ball's all in my court now. You're just gonna have to wait.

 

I think that about Sums it up.  Thiers nothing left to do

Ys Origin and Oath in Felghana aside, the next few months will be most delightful for Ys fans... but saying any more would be telling, now, wouldn't it?

You know i could really care less about this.  I'd still buy a seinfeld DvD.  Some Guys were Heckling him for something like 30 minutes and finally he blew up.  Ya he said some things he probably shouldnt have but owell I dont care if the guy is even a racist as long as he makes me laugh.  Afterall point me to the Law that says you have to like people of different cultures, religions etc?

Babyima, Falcom uses E.M.S. for shipping.  When your package hits American shores, it's usually handed over to Purolator.  Not always, but usually.  If I remember correctly, one of my orders came via Purolator, and the other came by Canada Post.  I'm not sure what it would be like in your neck of the woods....

My EMS has always been given to the US Post office.  Whats Purolator?

Now I have to sign of for a credit card (my first). Tried to get one at the bank I'm at but they rejected me. My mom says I'm have to be a super retard to get rejected for a credit card. But that won't stop me! Soon I'll have the best credit rating in the world! And Ys Oath in Felghana too.

What kinda Credit limit are you going for?  Really you dont need a card with a 5000$ limit on it.  Just get one with like a 200$  limit and just use it for buying your entertainment stuff.

Hey, I was one of the translators who have offered help in translating it.
I have been away for some time (my damn motherboard burned out...) so tell me, Sora No Kiseki is already under translation?

I believe it is being translated by omgfloofy.  I dont think Nightwolve is working on it though(he's got enough to do hehe) Really i dont know how Nightwolve makes the time to do these translations and put up with us all especially the crazy ones.

I grabbed it from a different source and have the same problems. I don't feel comfortable buying this if I can't even get it to work. Sorry about being nervous but in this case I don't feel like and can leave my comfort zone at this point because school is expensive XD

Besides. Someone else is probably going to have this problam and he will find this super helpfull thread.

Did you ever think your  problem maybe do to, oh i dunno not having a legit Copy of the game?

And downloaded the patch and installed it but now it opens up, gives me a black screen and then cuts out and exits.

Then i would suggest buying a legit copy.  Really you should if for nothing more then the awsome box it comes in and to support Falcom.  I know you can get the Game alot cheaper then 109$ if you go thru Falcom Directly.

Oath will be first. Napishtim is fully translated but suffers from the whole Japanese menus problem right now.

Really??? For the PC or your talking about the PSP and PS2 version??? I would like to know more about this info. That way I can watch for it's release. I own the Japanesse version and I'm waiting on a patch someday!

I love YS and got more into it due to the english patch NightWolve did for the other versions. Thanks!

I really dont know what to think yet.  Its going to be strange to me not playing an Ys game without Adol.  I hope that with future games they continue with Adol's adventures.  That being said I think its cool that the Girl character is from the line of Toba and the guy is from the line of Fact.

Last time i checked i saw that it would be hard because it was a huge script.

I had the understanding from this very site that NW has undertaken this huge task.  Allthough it seems it will be several years befor we see anything.
