Sprite issues

Hi

First off... Thanks a ton for all the work that went into a project like this.  Fan translations is one of the coolest things I've ever come across on the internet, and I really appreciate the effort that goes into this kind of work.

After stumbling on this project, and having been a huge fan of the TG16 versions of Ys, I decided to pick up a copy of the Win version from Himeya Shop. (My Xmas present to myself  ;) )  I followed your manual install instructions and all went well.  Installed the patch with no problems.

Started the game... looks great, sounds great, all English.

The only oddity I noticed is that the character sprites are very slow to turn and face the direction they are moving.  If I move Adol to the far right of the clinic and leave him facing to the right, then I move him quickly to the far left of the clinic, he'll be all of the way across the screen before he turns to face the direction he's moving in.  If I leave him facing right and tap the left key to face another direction the change goes...
tap, 2, 3... turn 45%, 2, 3... turn 90%, 2, 3... turn 135%, 2, 3... finish the 180% turn.  Any thoughts on what may be causing this?

I'm running XP on an Athlon 3200+ with 1 GB of ram and an ATI Radeon 9600 AIW video card.

Thanks for any help you might offer,
igboo

Like the other user's problem, I've never heard of this occuring before either and it's completely unrelated to the patch. I really have no advice on how to troubleshoot this other than going through some of the stuff talked about in the ReadMe, and making sure your video card drivers are up to date, etc..

You break my record, now I break you, like I break your friend!

Nightwolve,

Just wanted to drop in and say thanks again for all your efforts.

I found the resolution to my sprite problems... turns out the fan on my video card died.  The heat was slowly making the GPU lose it's mind.  I swapped it out for a new card, and now I'm headed off for Darm Tower.

Thanks
