In dedication of XSEED Games and the WyrdWad KKK Witch era, we present Jeff "DeuceBag" Nussbaum in his own words:

Why, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Psycho Jeff is involving/attacking the innocent families of neo-geo.com fans he wants to see die and help kill [painfully]!! Not the first time: when one of his bosses fired him (shock!), he not only wanted him dead but implied his kids must be as horribly ugly as he is! He didn't think anyone would read his blog, but like omgfloofy says, "Know your translator..." Another funny anecdote: while there are ambulance-chasers, Bankruptcy Jeff falls under the rare ambulance-crasher category, haha! Imagine being condemned, defamed, lied about by a complete psychotic mess of a manchild after massively cheating you who turns out was deflecting from deep mental problems & his own PR liabilities! This unhinged hypocrite bigoted bastard showing up from neo-geo.com in my forums/projects to get up on his high horse to smear me as an "embarassment" had A LOT of fucking nerve! BURN IN HELL!!

So...I finally figured out why all of XSEED/WyrdWad's friends can be credited for just about anything (including Ys Celceta DVD piracy) but I cannot (they have VERY high standards for people of good/moral character, you see):
Only bold/bald/fat homicidal cock-flashers & wyrdwad pedophiles are 'acceptable' for being credited on XSEED Games' localizations...

Are you on Windows 2K or XP, and if so, have you tried rebooting the machine with the Japanese Language code page enabled THEN installing it?

EDIT: Oh, you are on a 2K/XP machine based on that settings path. Do you have Administrator rights enabled for the account you're installing with? That's one more thing to try I can think of without getting a translation for that message box text.

OK, *takes breath*... Alright, goto Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options. A dialog box should appear with three tabs on it. Click the second one that says "Languages" and check the "Install files for East Asian languages" if you haven't already. You will need your original XP disc as it will ask you for it to copy the necessary language files for Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc. You can choose whichever ones you want, but make sure you choose Japanese. After that, you will likely need to reboot, and when you return, go back to the same menu, but this time, click the third tab that says "Advanced". Right underneath where it says "Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use:" there's a drop down combo box. In your case, it's probably set to German. Anyway, that you must click on and select Japanese, then click OK. You will have to reboot, and when you return, your PC will be in Japanese mode. Either way, you WILL need to do this because even after you install Felghana, you will need to be in Japanese mode to start the game, or use AppLocale, which I'll explain some other time. You can search the forum about AppLocale in the meantime though.

Hello.

I'm at my witt's end here...
I tried everything I can think of, to make the installation run. And it fails me all the time.
Please, if some kind soul would look upon those attached screens and tell me what the mysterious error am I getting here? >__<?

I posted here, to not trash the forum with another "install help" thread...

I'm working on an admin account and using AppLocale with japanese settings on the install file from the disc.

Everything goes smooth:

and here:

and here...

and then, here I am, at the progress bar... and I get THIS:

When I click OK, it simply exits to desktop, without any error whatsoever.

Help!
I want that thing to run before the patch comes out (and to think I actually bought it, instead of trying if it works for me before that... I'm an idiot to pay money _before_ checking)... ;__;

Just try to create this folder manually. It should work!

Yeah, creating the folder manually and running the installer again should take care of that problem. (You're correct to have made sure your account has admin rights.)

Thank You Luke and NightWolve, it works. ^_^

I would have never fall to the idea that setup doesn't use generic path, just pre-fixed one. But what maters, its that it installed nicely and I can finally launch it.

Thank You very much, I'm off trying to see how's the game like in japanese - before the patch arrivers. ^_^
