Error please help

ok I have the cd version of ys complete 1&2.  I installed this once before without any problems.  When I run the translation patch It stops before it is done.  I was using the patch that is current.  I tried the older patch, same issue.  The error reads at top of patch "setup was not completed successfully." Text says "Error target file incompatable with current patch"?  The Ys one patch is the same as the one I used before.  I am not sure what to do since the patch i used before is not work either.

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

I finally got it working.  I used the computer that was connected to the internet instead.  That was the problem.

Uh, that was my next bit of advice and to copy/paste here what it said on the status box. I DO inform you on the Browse folder page, "Be sure your Internet connection is available as Setup will attempt a one-time download for yscXXXX.zip if needed." ... Some things you don't have to read like the license page, but that wasn't one of them. Anyway, congrats.

EDIT: Hm, that got me thinking though. Too late now, but that would've been a good update for the latest Ys II patch to force a dialog box if your Internet isn't available and it never got a chance to download the needed zip from Falcom. Oh well.
