I think this works pretty good, although I'll have more OGG to WAVE extraction tweaks to implement soon to achieve perfection. To get you playing right now though, it's ready!
(The future tweaks I want involve skipping OGG extraction and decoding to WAVE by directly reading from the EXE and not first extracting the OGGs to the target folder (improved speed tweak) and other sophisticated tweak issues with the OGG decoder I want just in the name of perfection.)
https://www.ysutopia.net/downloads/ysc/Ys2EpicBGMSoundMod.exeIf you have any creative ideas on what to title it, lemme know.
Ys2EpicBGMSoundMod.exe (My best idea so far and probably final)
Ys2EpicBGMusicMod.exe (Hmm, has potential, less characters, says the same thing)
Ys2RyoBGMSoundMod.exe (Alternatively maybe Ryo in the filename might make it more marketable)
Ys2RyoOSTMod.exe (Shorter alt)
Ys2RyoSoundMod.exe (Shorter alt)
Ys2RyoMusicMod.exe (Shorter alt)
"ys2c-altst.exe" <-- (Original, BORING idea by XXXSEED Cock-Flasher Jeff... See how someone might not give a shit?)
Beyond the Installer filename, there are the various internal titles I used:
'"Ys I Complete" Epic/Ultimate BGM Soundtrack Mod'"Presenting: The Ryo Yonemitsu Epic BGM Soundtrack Mod!"Upgrade Ys I Complete to the epic PC Engine/TurboGrafx-CD soundtrack, The Ryo Yonemitsu Cut!"The PCE Turbo-Powered Ryo Yonemitsu Soundtrack Cut!"Oh and prepare yourself for a bit of a Splash screen and classic voice-acting when you start the patch BTW, it's a special added touch I also thought of.
