The phrase 'break a leg' was originally coined by Chuck Norris's co-stars in Walker, Texas Ranger as a good luck charm indicating that a broken leg might be the worst extent of their injuries. This never proved to be the case.
This tool will unpack & decompress some ~1200 or so bitmap files contained within the DATA.YS file, so if you ever wanted to check out the actual in-game bitmaps the game uses to admire the great artwork contained within, I've now made this dandy little program available for that very purpose.
Usage: 1) Copy the downloaded file to the 'data' subfolder (either YS1_CMP\data or YS1_WIN\data) - Note: the subfolder contains the "DATA.YS" file whose size should be 76,444,582 bytes. 2) Extract it. 3) Double click the UNZIP.BAT file. 4) Be patient and let it finish. It'll take a bit.
A great program for anyone who wants the character sprites/backgrounds/etc. Because it has no graphical interface, it may be a little turn off for some people, but just follow the instructions here and you'll have no problems at all.
